CA' DEL POGGIO – Pinarello renews and officially launches the F series, a super performance bike that is positioned one step below the Dogma. Details aside, the forms do not differ much from the Dogma, for a common thread that evolves over the years and at the same time remains the company's DNA.

Three carbon modules, T900, T700 and T600, for five versions in total (F9 and F7, F5, F3 and F1) and 10 trim levels. Nine sizes available. Let's go into detail about the new F, also thanks to the considerations of Federico Sbrissa, Marketing Manager of Pinarello.

The Pinarello F? Synonymous with racing

«All the bikes that carry the F logo – says Sbrissa – are created to compete and respect the Pinarello Racing DNACompared to the Dogma F there are many small differences that lead to a fairly significant gap. The new F project started three years ago and is really taking shape today.

«The new bike, although not part of the Dogma family – continues Sbrissa – even if the connection is clear, is aimed at a audience that loves competition, but has a budget that does not allow access to the Dogma. We have focused on offering the best weight/performance/price ratio, without distorting the Pinarello DNA. In terms of weight, compared to the previous F the new one has a weight on the scale that is approximately 200 grams lower for the same size».

Less extreme aerodynamics

Compared to the previous generation F, the current chassis has been completely redesigned and updated. It's really similar to Dogma even if the aerodynamic concepts are less extreme. It shows concepts pushed towards afunctional aerodynamics, towards a pronounced rigidity, factors which are however less impactful than the Dogma. For example the large Aero-Keel bottom bracket shell which, compared to the Dogma F, is slightly leaner. It brings with it the Italian threaded slots and the external bottom bracket cups. The down tube is also completely new. The headset (E-Ticr) and its tube have been completely borrowed from their sister, to increase the effectiveness and also the freedom of movement of the rotating system. The E-Ticr steering adopts the front passage of the sheaths, a real guide that eliminates any type of friction in this area.

La Onda fork has been improved and adopts a single 47mm rake (like the Dogma), a number that allows it to further increase steering precision and adapt perfectly to the geometry of the new Pinarello F. As regards the technical performance the rear carriage shows a reactivity (and shapes) completely comparable to the Dogma (so much stuff)The seat post is the same as the Dogma and the locking block has been fully integrated. Except for the F3 and F1 versions, the other F versions come with the integrated Talon carbon handlebar and the new Most Ultrafast 45 wheelsThe front and rear axles have significant tyre clearance, up to 32 mm. All new Fs (except the F1) are designed to support exclusively battery-powered transmissions, are not compatible with the mechanics.
