Cycling enters a new era with the latest addition to Bottecchia's lineup. It's called EMME 5 and represents the legacy of the brand's 25 years of experience in the racing world. The Venetian company thus inaugurated the fifth generation of the EMME series, born in 2010 with the first model: the EMME 2.

A bike that has written indelible pages in the history of high-level professional cycling thanks to the exploits of riders like Stefano Garzelli. In the following years, the line was renewed and expanded with the EMME 695, featuring an ultralight frame: just 695 grams. Then, in order, they arrived: EMME 3 GARA and EMME 4, the latter protagonist in the world of professionalism with the Androni-Sidermec team then Drone Hopper-Androni.

A special model

Thanks to Bottecchia's twenty-year experience in the racing world, the EMME 5 model perfectly represents the DNA of the Racing Department: competition, innovation, performance. A bike also created to best celebrate the XNUMXth anniversary of the victory of Ottavio Bottecchia at the 1924 Tour de France. He was the first Italian to win the Grande Boucle and wore the symbol of primacy, the yellow jersey, from the first to the last day. The best way to celebrate this milestone was to create a limited edition model: the EMME 5 Centenary.

Fifth generation

The EMME series, now in its fifth generation, presents itself on the market with excellent technical characteristics. What strikes you at first glance, checking the technical data sheet, is the weight-rigidity ratioWhile aerodynamic efficiency increases by 5 percent, weight is reduced compared to the previous model: 8 percent less. In terms of weight, the improvement is due to a new study of carbon layup, applied to the Monolith construction technology. A system that allows for a true monocoque frame, without joints, which allows for a gain in weight and stiffness. The carbon used is a mix of T1000 and T1100.

The integral internal cable routing ensures great aerodynamic efficiency and perfect airflow management. This is further optimized by the differentiated development of the down tube section and the dedicated carbon seatpost with a teardrop section.
