Campagnolo Super Record 13, when the road version was launched we had anticipated, the system itself had all the appearance of being just an appetizer. Campagnolo does not disappoint and further expands the 13-speed platform, launch the version X which pushes (specifically) towards gravel and all-road interpretation.
Super Record 13 X Gravel It joins the 2×13 road, 1×13 road and Super Record TT 1×13 packages, the latter specifically for time trial bikes. But it doesn't end there, because the 13 Gravel transmission also serves as a springboard for the 2×13 All-Road and Campagnolo Bora X wheels. Let's go into detail.

Campagnolo Super Record 13
In today's context it is not just a gearbox, not just a transmission, but a actual platform which nods to different bike categories and interpretations. In fact, the new Campagnolo Super Record system is about to complete the offering, always with a wireless matrix.
Super Record X identifies the family developed specifically for the gravel and all-road, which borrows some solutions from the 2×13 launched in June (we have it tried at the end of summer), which brings with it some solutions created specifically for gravel.

The peculiarities of the Campagnolo X
Super Record X 1×13 is a transmission with a single front chainring and is the Campagnolo's first wireless groupset for gravel. The rear rocker arm is with the long cage (however combinable with a road configuration) and adopts the suffix Nano Clutch, perfectly stabilized and capable of supporting sprockets up to 48 teeth. It is specific for the monoring transmission, where the presence of the 9-42 and 10-48 pinion scales. These new cassettes adopt the N3W freewheel design in any case.
The crankset features aero chainrings, with eight available teeth: 38 and 40, 42 and 44, 46 and 48, 50 and 52. The chainring teeth have a specially developed, anti-drop design, and the crankset itself does not require the use of a frame-saving tooth. The compatibility range for the single chainring starts at 38 teeth and goes up to 52. In addition, with a view to a perfect match with the monoring system, A shifter without buttons is also available, with just the brake lever. The list price of the Super Record X 1×13 gravel is 3.375 euros, to which 1.167 euros must be added for the optional power meter.
C'è anche il Super Record 2×13 All Road (4.370 euros list price, without power meter), suitable for those who combines road and gravel use. There are seven chainring combinations and you can use the four different sprocket scales (10-29, 10-33, 11-32 and 11-36) that the new Super Record 13 makes available. Also in this case the rear rocker is Nano Clutch (a miniaturized clutch) which maintains the stability of the chain and prevents falls. In terms of technique, development and concept, This rear derailleur is perfectly matched to the road package.

More than just an evolution of Ekar
The platform Campagnolo X has practically nothing in common with Ekar. As previously written, the system is completely wireless, but even the design of the crowns adopts a different tooth profile, more advanced and designed to offer optimal chain engagement, stabilizing the latter even on the roughest terrain. New crank lengths have also been added: 165 and 170, 172,5 and 175.
The cranksets have a Q-factor of 152mm and the thru-axle is Campagnolo's traditional Ultra-Torque. A power meter also for gravel and is based on the HPPM system used in the road sector.

The points in common with the road Super Record 13
The X-balance with elongated cage is also characterized by the pulleys with different diameters and teethThe upper one has 12 teeth and works eccentrically, the lower one has 16 teeth and is designed to optimize chain tension and promote smoothness.
Il The design of the balance beam is designed to adapt to different fork ends support, whether traditional or UDH. The battery is fully integrated into the derailleur body and can be removed.

Always Ergopower controls
Compared to the previous Wireless system, the controls have been completely redesigned, reengineered and simplified. The X version also features the left Ergopower without electronics, while the right one borrows all the solutions present on the road version. The data landing and transmission management app is the My Campy by Campagnolo.

There are also the new Bora X
50mm full carbon rim in height and a channel with internal hook (tubeless ready and non-hookless) from 27 wideIt is perfectly hermetic and shielded as per Campagnolo tradition, without tubeless tape. The spokes are in steel (differentiated and different from those of the Bora in the road version) with G3 spoke system and the nipples are external to the rim.
The design of the new Bora X is optimised to make accommodate covers from 35mm onwards. The value declared on the scale is 1.430 gramsThe hubs adopt USB Ceramic bearings. The list price of the Bora X is 2.290 euros.
