One of the bicycles that made the history of the Milanese brand From Rosa changes face but not identity. The new Idol, who celebrates her first twenty years in 2025, maintains its bold and competitive character while gaining weight. The frame becomes lighter by a good 300 grams, significantly dropping below one kilogram in weight: 900 gramsAdded to this is the fork, which weighs just 385 grams.
Aggressive and sinuous lines make the new Idol a bicycle that captures the attention of those who love to look at the aesthetic side and that satisfies even the most demanding cyclists from a technical point of view. A unique carbon process studied over a 25-year period which allowed De Rosa's technicians to master this material to the fullest.
Aggressive and aerodynamic
At De Rosa, the focus of the project to present a new and modern version of the Idol was to seek out new geometries. The down tube has bolder and more decisive lines, which coincide with a greater widthIn the rear area, the chassis has an even more racing look and is aimed at achieving the best aerodynamic performance.
The “arc slope” horizontal tube designed with exposed carbon, to enhance the workmanship of the material and the design, presents a harmony of movements capable of combining lightness and power. A “minimal” impact but one that denotes a racing and decisive spiritThe carbon composition chosen to build the new Idol is divided as follows: 15 percent 24T (T700) carbon which gives controlled elasticity, 68,5 percent of 30T (T800) to ensure high performance and stability, finally a 16,5 percent of 40T (M40J) in order to have excellent structural rigidity.
Colors and shades
Minimal, true, but also capable of capturing the eye. The new Idol's color scheme captures bold nuances and changes in tone.A pulse, a breath, transported from the design to the frame, where simplicity serves performance. With this revamped version of the Idol, De Rosa wanted to create a bicycle for those who love to push themselves beyond every limit.
Eight sizes are available: from 42,5 to 56,5The stem is the Metron 5D Evo, while the saddle is the SLR Boost Carbon.
