Active design
Classic, slim and aggressive. The new Felt FR is characterised by elegant shapes and combines aesthetics and aerodynamics to the maximumThe riding feel is in fact guaranteed by this construction approach. The new design is the result of years of aerodynamic research, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) studies and wind tunnel tests. The tube profiles, particularly the down tube and steering tube, have aoptimized aerodynamics to improve speed of the bicycle minimizing air resistance. The horizontal top tube reduces the frontal surface area, and carefully reduced volumes in the head tube area contribute to the bike's slim, aggressive aesthetic.

To achieve the perfect balance between stiffness and flexibility, the new FR features variable section seat stays. This innovative design improves comfort of the cyclist without compromising the responsiveness of the bike, offering advantages on long distances and on challenging climbs that require out-of-the-saddle effort. Greater tire clearance ensures an open setup up to 30 mm according to ETRTO standardsThis not only gives cyclists the freedom to choose larger tires for improved comfort or cornering stability, but also ensures versatility in different road conditions. Furthermore, it is possible to build a wider range of wheelset options and follow the latest market trends with wider rims.
Il integrated cockpit, seat post integration into the frame and internal cable routing are designed to minimize aerodynamic drag and optimize performance. The D-shaped head tube is a technical innovation that allows the use of the classic, thin headset bearing, 1 1/8″ at the top and 1,5″ at the bottom. This design ensures a perfect integration without compromising the volume of the head tube, contributing to a better look and optimized aerodynamics of the bike. Finally, the Felt FR features a stiffer and more durable UDH dropout, which offers greater durability and ease of replacement.

Frame in premium carbon weighing less than 900g for all models. The Felt FR boasts a single layer of carbon, which ensures optimal strength and stiffness without compromising weight. This means that every version, from the top-of-the-line model using the Shimano Dura Ace Di2 groupset, to the entry-level model with Shimano 105 mechanical, shares the same premium carbon layup. A novel approach, and one that is not often found on the market. The use of high-quality unidirectional carbon fiber ensures a ideal balance between rigidity and reactivity.
