With November just around the corner, we start thinking about how to combat the winter cold, which can be extremely annoying and biting on a bike. As temperatures drop, it becomes essential to cover ourselves well, protecting the peripheral areas of our body, such as our feet.. Physics presents its new shoe model for the winter: the Tempo Artica GTX.

Isolate and protect

These shoes are built with an insulating and completely waterproof Gore-Tex membrane. A technology that has been studied and adapted to be, at the same time, also breathableIt is in fact essential to be able to protect from the cold and rain without creating that excessive and annoying feeling of heat accumulation. This is possible thanks to the presence of tiny pores, which allow for continuous air exchange.

Inside the shoe, there's a soft fleece lining, comfortable yet warm. This is another element that will help us defeat all the annoying winter elements.

The outside

The Tempo Artica GTX features a high-density laminated PU membrane on the outside. This material pairs perfectly with Gore-Tex. A Velcro strap has been added at the ankle to help secure the foot better. The closure system at the upper level is a single BOA rotor. This is the L6, which makes any type of micro-adjustment easy and fast, even if you have thick winter gloves on.

The sole

Made of nylon, the new R5 model offers high levels of comfort and rigidity. Pedaling is efficient and high-performance. A measure introduced by Fizik on the Tempo Artica GTX concerns the positioning of the cleatsThey have been moved slightly back from the traditional positions. This is a winter-specific feature, designed to optimize pedaling efficiency by reducing compression on the knees. The sole has no ventilation holes to keep your feet warm and dry.
