Regola Bikes is also opening its eyes to the world of gravel, actually it has already done so, but in the last few days it has broadened its horizons. Adventures on dirt roads are something that goes beyond the rules of cycling. As well as the philosophy of the Piedmontese brand: far from traditional bicycle production. Regola Bikes' gravel series is called Gieira (gravel in Piedmontese) and together with Fabrizio Pasolini we present it to you.

Different shades

Carbon or aluminum, the choice is made right from the start, and there are no limits to your imagination. True, Bikes Rule It offers some guidelines, but going off track is absolutely not prohibited.

«We noticed – explains Fabrizio Pasolini – that the gravel world offers many opportunities, so we said we wanted to indulge everyone a little. The Gieira frame is available in both aluminum and carbonThe idea is that the first is linked to the world of travel and adventure, while the second is more inclined towards a racing spirit."

Aluminum

The aluminum frame, as mentioned, is dedicated to those who love bikepacking, the most intense adventure to experience on a bikeThis material has excellent characteristics from this point of view and marries the philosophy very well.

«Even in this case - he continues - the cyclist can choose between internal or external cable routingWe recommend leaving the cables exposed, this makes it easier to work on the bike, but everyone is then free to do as they wish. Our aluminum is hydroformed, this means that it is a jet of water that gives it the angleThis allows for greater maneuverability and greater choices in terms of bending. With this process It remains shock-resistant and better supports the weight of bags.

Different geometries

The frame has the same name but the geometries and basic ideas are different between carbon and aluminum. The beauty of Regola Bikes is that nothing is pre-established, it is the cyclist who decides every detail.

«Clearly the geometries have some differences – concludes Pasolini – depending on the soul of the frameBut once the customer decides, he dictates the rules. Often, we start with the bare frame, take measurements, and proceed accordingly. It can be said that all bikes are differentThe assembly and components are in the hands of the cyclist, from this point of view there are no rules: cranks, stem, saddle, seat post, wheels… Every detail is up to our customer’s imagination.”
