The Argentine champion, born in Buenos Aires and naturalized Spanish, boasts a career full of successes, among which the 2004 Zurich Championship stands out. It was precisely the experiences of these successes and Flecha's 13-year career that were the foundation on which Gobik relied.
An ongoing passion
Flecha has never abandoned the beauty and freedom of pedaling on ever-new roads and paths. Thus, Gobik, he thought it would be a good idea to combine the principles of the former rider with those of gravel. In fact, the Mestizo collection brings together three main adjectives under its name: Slow, Rebel & Dirty.
Flecha discovered gravel on a trip to the USA, and was immediately fascinated by this discipline so close to nature. "Gravel," he said, "allows me to feel in harmony with the environment and at the same time multiplies the possible options for my bike routes, giving me a great feeling of freedom."
The collection
The collection is varied, and it was officially presented, by Flecha himself, in the ultracycling race Badlands, still underway. The event will end on September 9th. It will cover a distance of 780 kilometers, with over 15.000 meters of elevation gain, through the provinces of Granada and Cabo de Gata, ending at the foot of Pico Veleta.
