In the perspective of increase cyclist safetyLook Cycle launches a version of its most representative pedals, the Keo family. It's called Keo Vision, adopts an integrated LED and allows the cyclist to be clearly visible up to a kilometer away.
The light of the new Keo Vision is applied at the rear and it does not bring any changes to the basic technical characteristics of the pedal we already know. Let's go into detail.

Safety is not an opinion
Making yourself visible, first deterrent that the cyclist should consider, not only from behind and from the front, but even on the sidesThe lights placed on the mechanical vehicle are an excellent tool and capable of increasing the safety factor. Yet lights mounted on the frame, seat post and/or handlebars also show some orientation and lateral visibility limits. The desire to develop also comes from here a light system that follows the movement of the pedal, visible behind and on the sides, but also able to provide a precise idea of what does the same red light represent that moves and is noticed at a distance.
Safety must not be a secondary concern, but it is necessary to always make yourself visible, attract attention and cover as wide a range of space as possible.

Bio Motion Concept
It's a concept as simple as it is useful. The lights, applied to the pedals, follow the movement of the pedal and create a sort of continuous flow of light, clearly visible on the sides, behind, for a overall range of 180° and up to a kilometer away.
Regardless of the activation mode of the LED integrated in the pedals, the flow of light “moves” with the gesture, automatically changing intensity and creating a kaleidoscope at the same time.

Technically what is it?
Il The Look Keo Vision project encompasses two families of Keo pedals., or the latest version of the Blades (Ceramic model) and the Keo 2 Max. The two versions, compared to the standard ones, adopt a slightly modified rear clip, designed to safely house the two lights (right and left). The lights themselves can be removed at will, using a built-in battery, rechargeable via USB-C port, have a declared autonomy of over 40 hours (a lot). They are also equipped with start&stop mode, They pause when you stop and reactivate when you start pedaling again, regardless of the mode you set. They have a declared weight of 20 grams for a single light and are waterproof IPX7.
Each single LED has a maximum power of 60 lumens (in day flash mode), which is quite a feat considering the integrated and space-saving dimensions of the product. There are four usable modes: day and night flash, with peaks of 60 and 10 lumens respectively, pulse and steady, at 3 and 2 lumens respectively. In night mode, each individual light can last about 40 hours without recharging.
