The new Look supplied to the Cofidis Team It's no longer a secret, but at the French fashion house, lips remain sealed.
The bike has already won in Australia thanks to Bryan Coquard, but it also shined in the stages with positive elevation gain thanks to Victor Lafay. Let's try to analyze and delve into the details using the available images.

The revolution is complete
«Look is finalizing the development of several platforms for the future – says Alberto Fumagalli of Look Italia – working closely with theCofidis Team. Athletes are using the road and time trial prototypes, already approved by the UCIAs with all bikes, the development time is long and involves computer science, laboratory testing and field testing. Currently we are developing aerodynamic studies in parallel to optimize the driving feel, the vehicle's aerodynamics, considering weight and other key points. The team offers us a privileged entry point to finalize the development."
This is Look's statement and it is absolutely appreciable, as well as understandable. The WorldTour team is an excellent showcase and communication tool, but like this and the development of the platforms, the will to look To make bikes available not on a spot basis, but based on a reliable availability criterion. It will take a few more weeks, and precise information will surely be provided, but in the meantime...

Aerodynamic and sleek
The feeling is that of describing a Look bicycle that does not abandon the common thread of the 795 Blade, but with greater versatility and, we are also convinced, a very interesting value on the scale. In our opinion it is not "just" an aerodynamic bike.
The front end is characterised by a fairly thin fork, with small “fins” near the thru-axle seats. The head instead has a showy beak that matches the oblique seat, but it doesn't fit completely inside. Rigid certainly, but not extreme, fast and drivable, we could describe it that way. The top of the headset has a flare that contains the headset, helps to make the aesthetic impact uniform, even if different thicknesses are used and helps to lower the stack. The spacers are specific and have a teardrop shape.

A new handlebar
It's Look and it seems a sort of semi-integratedThe actual handlebar, which we had already talked about in relation to the Cimolai fitting, has a wing section and fits into the mount, which is also completely made of carbon and with internal passage of the sheaths.
In the area of the steering cap, you can see the double possibility of inserting a specific flat closing cap, or a classic round one. This also suggests a traditional fork stem diameter, which must naturally facilitate the passage of the hydraulic pipes.

It's not too sloping
The horizontal pipe becomes thinner as it continues towards the rear. Geometry as a whole it's not markedly sloping. There's a seatpost with a dedicated shape and the clamping block is contained between the horizontal and the steering column. The latter has the rear profile of the trunk and goes back to leave more space for the wheel.
The The oblique insertion is lowered, a first for Look, which in this sense adapts to the design standards of the market. In the point where the two oblique profiles meet is very thin, with a'pronounced aerodynamicsThe design is quite interesting.

Smuscular cat
The bottom bracket shell is square, imposing and bulky, it reminds one of a latest generation time trial bike. In all likelihood it is a 86mm width with T47 solutionBut it's the shape of the seat stays that catches our attention, which tend to lower as they exit the central area. A solution conceived in this way It might help raise the drop a little for the benefit of stability and agility, but without sacrificing space penetration.

The other components for Cofidis
There is the transmission Shimano Dura Ace 12-speed, but the crankset is the Look Carbon developed in collaboration with SRM (obviously integrates this power meter) and the crowns are KronosThe cranks have the threaded sockets that allow you to change the length: 170 and 172,5, 175, all three in one crankset. There is Selle Italia.
There are Corima wheels and this component refers to the use of tubulars, which are Michelin. Corima has not yet developed (at least has not made it official) a tubeless road wheelset.
