In addition to stage victories at the Tour of Belgium, the Ethias Tour de Wallonie, the Giro dell'Appennino and the Sazka Tour, he was above all Jan Hirt's triumph in the queen stage of the 2022 Giro d'Italia to crown the testing phase of the new bicycles.

We start from Vitoria
For this reason now, coinciding with the start of the Vuelta, Cube presents the new Litening AIR C:68X series, consisting of three models. In the fourth stage of the Vuelta, from Vitoria Gasteiz to Laguardia, the first climbs will arrive and the new lightweight bicycle in Cube's history will see the light of day, and in a special color too. It will be the bike, among others, of Well I live and Meintjes, as well as Hirt and Bakelants.
The goal of the Litening AIR C:68X project – extremely light, aerodynamic and comfortable even after many hours in the saddle – is to obtain the perfect combination of low weight and aerodynamic design.
The special team colour scheme for the Vuelta does not hide the very solid steering. The new Cube's steering knuckles are mounted low on the steering column A light sloping and stiff front end for racing bikes The aerodynamics of the new Cube are 10 out of 10 The monocoque handlebar stiffens the front end

799 gram frame
To achieve this goal, Cube engineers opted to use high-quality C:68X carbon compositeBy manufacturing the frame in a dedicated laboratory, it was possible to reduce the weight to a minimum. In fact, in the medium size, the frame weighs only 799 grams, laying the ideal foundation for a very fast 6,6 kilo bike (in the SLT variant).
The lightweight model, compliant with all UCI regulations, also uses with an integrated handlebar, an integrated seat clamp and a maximum wheel clearance of 31 millimetresThe frame is made with Air Monocoque Advanced Twin Mold technology, the tubes are the result of an Aero-Weight optimization between aerodynamic penetration and lightness, the cable routing is all internal and the disc mounting is flat mount.
Litening AIR C:68X Race combines ultra-light weight, an aero concept and top components The brakes are mounted flat mount. The SLX model has a reduced weight and an integrated power meter The rear carriage is very compact, which greatly benefits responsiveness.
