Objective: lightness

The confirmation that the lightness is also sought in this category of products also arrives from home Trek. The new Domane+ SLR reaches a declared weight on the scale of 11,8 kilograms (Domane+ SLR9 version)Today, the technologies are available and there is also the demand, the ambition and the desire to have a versatile and lightweight e-road vehicle.

And then it's a bicycle that uses the renewed endurance platform of the American brand, which uses endurance geometry and some solutions borrowed from traditional bicycles. Some of these are an integral part of the DNA Trek.

Power unit signed TQ

It is developed by the German company of the same name and is part of the family Harmonic Ping Ring. TQ It is not a flash in the pan or a passing fad, but a company that has been developing and producing for years electric units, among the most used on drones and roversIt is a compact and lightweight electric unit, silent and with good autonomy, as well as having excellent margins for customization.

Compactness also offers advantages in terms of Q-factor of the central area of the bike (163 mm), very similar to traditional bicycles. The cranksets can be single and/or double chainrings.

The battery, hidden in the down tube, develops 360 watts/hour (50Nm of torque) and as standard it can provide support up to 95 kilometers (eco mode). The distance increases when using the rangel extender (in place of the second bottle holder and with a declared weight of 900 grams). A display is provided on the horizontal pipe and control buttons are positioned near the shifters.

Not only that, because there is also the new one Trek Central app which allows you to customize the basic functions and increase the autonomy and delivery phases of the three assistance modes.

Trek Domane+ SLR Frame Kit

As previously written the frame is full carbon and uses OCLV800 composite fiber, has theRear IsoSpeed and allows the passage of tyres up to 40 mm in cross-section (35 if mudguards are used). Thinking about a lightweight gravel bike, in terms of travel and bikepacking, is not a sin.

Also, for weight lovers, the same frame of the same size is 700 grams lighter.

LThe new Domane+ is a bike dedicated to endurance, the confirmation comes from some characteristics that match each other and from the geometry: It is not of H1.5 matrix, so it differs from the Madone and the Emonda. The Domane + It is not compatible with the Bontrager RSL integrated handlebar, but it uses the new RCS Pro stem, which is compatible with some traditional non-motorized models. The bike is compatible exclusively with basic electronic drivetrains.
