Orbea Terra is renewed. The Basque company's gravel bike changes and evolves, without distorting the previous concept of versatile and widely used bike that has always belonged to it. The change has (always) gravel as its subject and presents itself as the perfect connection with mountain biking, a wink to those bikers who also include a gravel bike in their bike portfolio. Adventure and bikepacking? Absolutely.
Technically, the new Terra increases tire clearance. It's comfortable, and new functional design technologies, along with the use of carbon fiber, allow it to be easy and immediate to drive. Let's see it in detail.

Simple and substantial aesthetics
Visually it is an Orbea through and through (it also partly reminds us of the This), thanks to an essential, elegant and no-frills aesthetic. fork has straight stems and it comes with slots for carrying any side bags, with the head appearing to face forward. The steering is not massive and adopts a sort of reinforcing squaring where the horizontal tube joins the head tube, an Orbea trademark. The down tube has larger volumes, especially in the middle and lower section, where a storage compartment with extra capacityThe entire central compartment and the rear triangle are slimmed down, comfort is thanks.
The seat tube is rounded and the seat post is classic, round with a diameter of 27,2 mm. Here you can mount a Telescopic, respecting this measure. It is interesting to underline the presence of the externally positioned locking collar, a solution designed to simplify adjustments (and the assembly of a dropper post). The new Third Generation Earth It is a carbon monocoque and adopts the OMR fiber, the least extreme in the Orbea value scale. To have a reference in terms of value on the scale, the frame has a declared weight of 1040 grams and the fork (always full carbon) of 425.

The details: an added value
The horizontal profile is it thins out a lot as it slides towards the rear. This allows to dampen and dissipate a good part of the vibrations and also supports a mcontrolled movement of the rear carriage and steering column. Stability, traction and of course comfort are improved. No mechanical device and/or suspension is inserted. Added to this is a short seat tube which coincides with a significant drop out, for atargeted cushioned action that can be used by anyone.
Orbea Terra Carbon is compatible with 1X and 2X drivetrains (the latter only in the gravel configuration) and in both cases the passage of the tires is guaranteed with section of 50 (leaving 6 millimeters of clearance from the frame). This is no small feat, a detail that further confirms the attention paid by Orbea's engineers.
There are four mounting points for any bags: thehorizontal with a small bag and the fork as written previously, under the oblique for the possible third water bottle eseight the saddleIt is possible to mount two mudguards, front and rear. For those who want to dare something more in terms of performance, it is possible to mount a full carbon integrated handlebar (Orbea has developed a new OC component), considering the ACR-FSA design of the headset which exponentially expands compatibility. In addition to the catalog liveries, Orbea Terra Carbon is part of the MyO customization program.
