A saddle that has accompanied champions like Bradley Wiggins, Alberto Contador, Peter Sagan, brothers Andy and Frank Schleck, Fabian Cancellara, Sonny Colbrelli, Thibaut Pinot and many others. A model with a design that has always been at the forefront over the years, from the first NAGO in 2007, to the second NAGO Evo in 2014, up to the third NAGO C3 in 2016. From this success story, Prologue presents NAGO R4 (Redesign 4) the fourth evolution of an icon created to satisfy both professionals that the most demanding cyclists, looking for maximum performance and optimal comfort.

Pro design

The project for the new NAGO R4 was developed in close collaboration with several professional teams. It was also, perfected thanks to test results Pressure Map MyOwn, the proprietary system which analyses the pressure exerted on the saddle while pedalling. The NAGO R4 has an innovative and aerodynamic design, its weight is kept to a minimum (from 195 to 210 grams), and its compact dimensions of 245x137/147mm.

La traditional T-shape allows good freedom of movement, while the slightly advanced anatomical center favors a more aggressive riding positionThe ergonomic semi-round shape facilitates forward rotation of the pelvis, allowing effortless reach of the handlebars and promoting compatibility with all riding positions.

Open or closed

To meet all needs, Prologo has developed two versions, one open and the other closed. open version NAGO R4 PAS, features a cover with two completely independent separate side sections, made with latest-generation variable-density foams, to ensure excellent support and the right comfort during all phases of pedaling. At the center of the saddle is Prologo's PAS system: a large central channel combined with a perforated base, to eliminate pressure peaks even in the phases of maximum push on the pedals.

La closed version NAGO R4, instead, features a cover with three independent sections, which cover its entire surface. At the centre of the saddle, which is therefore closed, there is Prologo's Active Base system: under the central section of the cover, the base is still perforated, as in the open model. This solution allows you to join the benefits of a closed saddle with a larger support surface, to the advantages of an open-base saddle.

Tailored comfort

The two versions with one 137 mm wide currently represent the narrowest ergonomic saddles in the Prologo collectionTo better meet the needs of all cyclists, the Milanese company has also developed two versions with a width of 147 mm. These, compared to the narrower models, have increased padding of 10 mm on the sides and 3 mm on the topThe benefits are aimed at those seeking greater comfort and those requiring a wider seat for biomechanical needs.

All versions of the new saddle rest on a base made of injected long-fiber carbon, a material that offers an excellent compromise between rigidity and comfort. The selectable rails are the Rail Nack composed of carbon, kevlar and aluminum filaments, for the most performance-oriented cyclists, looking for maximum stiffness and lightness. And the TiroX rail in light alloy steel, a material with an excellent balance between weight and resistance, which gives the saddle less rigidity and greater vibration absorption, for those seeking greater comfort.

All new NAGO R4 models are available on the website and at the best retailers, at a price list price of 229 euros for the versions with Rail Nack, and 139 euros for the versions with Rail TiroX.
