In the ever-evolving world of cycling, technological innovation plays a crucial role. And increasingly, innovations born in one discipline then cascade into the others as well. The most obvious example in recent years has certainly been Disc brakes, designed for MTB, but now almost essential on racing bikes. However, other innovations are also coming from the "fat tires", such as puncture-proof inserts. Tannus, a leading manufacturer of solid and inserts, has therefore launched its new line Tannus Tubeless Lite, designed specifically to meet the needs of road and gravel riders. Their motto, “Never Stop Riding,” says it all about the promise they want to keep.
Not just puncture-proof
Tubeless Lite is an insert that fits inside tubeless tires, designed to continue your ride (or race) even in the event of a puncture, thanks to its great “run flat” capabilities. In the event of a loss of pressure, that is, it will no longer be necessary to stop immediately at the side of the road and you will be able to continue pedaling without the risk of damaging the rim. But its advantages don't stop there. First fundamental aspect: It is very light, only 45 grams in the road version.
Thanks to its special shape – smooth in the upper part and alternating empty and full spaces in the lower part in contact with the rim – It then ensures a more efficient power transfer. It also reduces rolling resistance, as well as improving control and cornering, especially when cornering at high speeds.

20% recycled material
The cushioning properties of the insert they also reduce bicycle vibrations by 45%. This translates into a more comfortable ride, while also allowing lower tire pressures: ideal for long training rides or the ever-present endurance competitions.
Tubeless Lite is produced with a special compound, the “Aither 1.1”, which has been designed to avoid the absorption of the latex inserted inside the tyresThis translates into reduced maintenance without any risk of weight gain, even in the medium to long term. Tannus also considered the environment in its innovation: The compound is made from 20% recycled material from Tannus Airless tyres.

Models and prices
