Cainero speaks
To tell what it means to host an event like the Adriatica Ionica Race we relied on Enzo Cainero. He brought cycling to Friuli on several occasions. and which still works today to host the two-wheeled pros on several occasions.
«Friuli – he says – has been present for 19 years with the Giro d'Italia, with excellent results in all respects. The Adriatica Ionica Race is a new race that has logically fit in very well with our territory. This is not, in fact, the first stage finish that our region has hosted.
«It is logical that it could be an additional element to the overall action that the region carries out for cyclingWe are a two-wheel friendly territory, which thanks to steps like these and the organization of races for young people and not only, is contributing to making these increasingly attractive and usable places."
