Suzuki Bike Day is an event created to demonstrate that bicycles and cars can share the same space. Mutual respect must be the basis And the awareness that you don't take to the road thinking you're a protagonist, but a co-actor. Cycling meets racetracks, a partnership born six years ago with the Imola World Championships and then continued by Suzuki.

For the first few years the stage was the circuit named after Enzo and Dino FerrariNow the scenery changes and we move on to the "Temple of Speed." This is, in fact, the nickname given to the Monza circuit by drivers and motorsport enthusiasts. Il Suzuki Bike Day it does not remain a circumscribed event within the strip of asphalt reserved for the Formula One spectacleThe goal is to offer cyclists an ever-changing landscape and panorama; the bike is also a means of transport capable of helping us discover different places.

The path

It was officially presented in the last few weeks, the route of this fifth edition of the Suzuki Bike Day and we can define it: a dive into the green of BrianzaA land so deeply connected to cycling that it hosts one of the most iconic races of the Italian season finale: the Coppa Agostoni. Over the years, this race has acquired the nickname Giro delle Brianze. A continuous up and down of the hills that give their name to this part of Italy, the Brianza hills

To learn about the magic of these streets, which always offer a spectacular spectacle, we went to Alessandro Rolandi, president of the company that organizes the Coppa Agostoni: SC Mobili Lissone.

«Combining the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza with the Coppa Agostoni – he tells us – is a perfect way to represent the sporting symbols of Brianza. It's nice to know that the Suzuki Bike Day will touch one of the symbolic points of the race, namely the Lissolo climb.A strategic hub, yet also immersed in the Brianza countryside and its lush greenery. The slope that cyclists and cycle tourists will tackle offers a truly breathtaking view. In recent years, thanks also to the Honorable Roberto Pella, we organizers have been called upon to promote the area even more. which is hosting the race and what the Suzuki Bike Day will do is a great initiative and we need many more."

The voice of the protagonists

The welcome to the Monza racetrack also came from the words of Massimo Nalli, president and CEO of Suzuki Italy.

«We are opening the doors of the great Monza racetrack to a day in the saddle and on the pedals – declared Nalli – It's no surprise that a company like Suzuki is promoting shared mobility and invite all road users to coexist respectfully. Motorists, motorcyclists, and cyclists are often the same people, who choose to use different means of transportation depending on their specific desires and needs at any given moment. The aim of the Suzuki Bike Day is to make these two worlds coexist, which have more points of contact than points of friction."

After a few years, the Monza circuit will also reopen to cyclists on dedicated days, The Temple of Speed is increasingly joining forces with cycling and its enthusiastsViviana Guidetti, Councilor for Libraries, Sports and Sports Facility Maintenance, and Environmental Hygiene for the Municipality of Monza, also emphasized this.

«The city of Monza is opening up to sports and all the initiatives held at the racetrack are welcome. Since May the Autodrome has been reopened to cyclists and the Suzuki Bike Day is perfectly in line with our policyThis event also involves a vast territory, creating synergies between municipalities and encouraging them to work in an integrated manner, according to a virtuous model that should be replicated."
